General use of dumeter.net web site
IP Address. Hagel Technologies may also collect IP addresses for the purposes of systems administration. An IP address is a number that is assigned to your computer automatically when you use the Internet. When you visit a page on the DuMeter.net web site, our servers log your IP address. Your IP address is not linked to anything personally identifiable.
Registration for DuMeter.net service
When you register for DuMeter.net service, we collect personally identifying information from you. During registration you are asked to provide your name, email address and time zone. In addition, if you choose to sign into DuMeter.net using your Facebook, Google or Twitter account, we may also collect additional information such as your Facebook, Google or Twitter ID, email or user picture. We do not collect or store your third-party account password.

DuMeter.net client software periodically submits the following information to our servers: anonymous token used to identify the reporting computer, client software version number, DU Meter serial name and code if the client software has been registered, and hourly totals of bytes sent and received by the computer. The actual data that represent your networking activity is never collected, logged or transferred anywhere by the client software.
How is my personally identifiable information used?
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. We use 128-bit SSL encryption to protect your data while it is being sent over the Internet, and properly encrypt and secure all sensitive information on our database servers.
Your email address, Facebook or Twitter accounts may be used to conact you by Hagel Technologies or its affiliated entites for the following reasons:
- Notifying you about changes in your account status.
- Nofifying you about excessive Internet bandwidth utilization, if you set up DuMeter.net alert to warn you about such event.
- Answering your assistance requests, or asking for your feedback about our website.
- Notifying you of existing or prospective products and services offered by us or our partners.
Who does Hagel Technologies share information with?
We will not disclose your personally identifiable information to third parties except to the extent necessary to provide you with a requested product or service.
